I agree completly i have set up several facebook job sites for jobs in my company (Head of HR) and part of my job is to keep costs down, I get an amazing repsonse to the facebook groups and have no advertising fes, much better than using monster at £4000 per year, and they were a load of rubbish anyway. I’m looking into Twitter at the moment, ive never used it, sounds good though.

I get a lot of English recruiters who find me through LinkedIn and simply call me straight away. That’s a bit TOO much. Just a simple e-mail will do, in my opinion.

By the way, I especially love the way you can connect Twitter with LinkedIn and FaceBook. With just a few simple steps, you can send one tweet to all your social media accounts!

I heard that some companies requires to see their facebook account before they could apply to the job. and its part to know the person’s lifestyle and credibility. I do agree that there are lots of social media sites that helps and makes it easier for people to search for jobs.

Linkedin, twitter are so common these days that not having account on
these sites seems odd at best.

A lot of recruiters, especially those in their 20s and 30s are doing
research online before they twitter or msg you. Older folks are usually account or office managers and they prefer to make phone calls.
