A good GPA may help you to get the interview, but if you have zero people’s skills and you fail to impress in your interview… forget it… companies now a day want experience, personality and hard working people/workers

There was a time when jobseekers pored over the ” Recruitment / Hiring ” sections of newspapers, searching for suitable jobs, for hours-on-end.

Then, with the arrival of internet , came job-portals, which were amongst the earliest websites.

Whereas considerable refinements have taken place in respect of resume-posting and resume-searching, job-searches have largely remained the same – with the jobseekers having to spend an enormous amount of time online.

I have tried to simplify and speed-up job-searches thru Magic Cube Job-Search on http://www.CustomizeResume.com

No “ Rocket – Science “ this !

Sooner than later, someone is bound to come-up with even better ” Geodesic Job – Search” which will have jobs listed on hundreds of faces against only 3 of Magic Cube !

Nobody is going to hire you or pay you a good salary just because you have a high GPA. Of course if you own one it may be an advantage for you, but in the end the impression you make on your interview and your previous experience is what matters the most. Usually the salary level will rise in time due to your hard work, but you should be able to negotiate these kind of terms before you sign an employment contract.

no, but i depends on what school you came from and if you’ve graduated with honors. most companies doesn’t look at it.

I don’t think your GPA will decide whether you get a job or not. What really matters is your personality. If you present yourself as a person with qualities who is willing to work then GPA will not be of importance.

If you do not have a good GPA, the key will be to network and locate advocates at your targeted companies who want you in the firm. Likewise, you may be perceived as a better fit (likeability and so on) and this may help you gain an edge over an unknown candidate with a higher GPA.

It will effect your job hunt... but as far as Job pay, nope. Employers not gonna give you less money b/e you didn't graduate with honors. However, like anything else a employer is going to hire the person with the higher GPA.

As long as you're above 3.0, don't worry about it too much.
